A computer-based intervention designed around what actually happens in a reading brain. Essentially, Cellfield uses computer science to rewire the brain in just two weeks.

Reading fluently with good comprehension needs many things to happen quickly.  Cellfield uses brain plasticity and computer science to synchronise information to enable the student to recognise words in peripheral vision and have spare processing capacity in working memory to think about meaning.

Who is the program suited to?

Cellfield is ideal for adolescents and can be started as young as 8 years of age.  The Cellfield program is appealing to an adolescent in terms of both the technology used and the novel approach to intervention.

Studies have shown that, in general, the older the student the bigger gain they can make, with significant gains being made in a short period of time.

Follow up assessment shows that they continue with this accelerated rate of learning in their learning development even after Cellfield is completed.

Running all year round, including the school holidays.

Program structure:

  • Pre-program assessment session 75-90 minutes
  • Phase I sessions 10 x 75 minute daily sessions (2 weeks)
  • Post phase I assessment 75-90 minutes
  • Phase II sessions 8 x 30 minute weekly session (8 weeks)
  • Post-phase II assessment 75-90 minutes
  • Post-program report and feedback session
