School Holiday Self-Regulation Groups

Available each school holidays, our self-regulation programs include three x 90-minute small group sessions run over three consecutive days. The groups are run by two Occupational Therapists and are capped at a maximum of five children.

Suitable for children between the ages of four to seven years (Kindy – Grade 2).

Self-regulation is an essential foundation skill that is vital for success in both social and educational settings. This program develops attention and behaviour skills such as sitting and listening, persistence, resilience, personal space and calming strategies. They will be incorporated in these sessions.

Applying Social Thinking

Suitable for children between the ages of four to seven years (Kindy – Grade 2), who are an existing client or who have attended a previous self-regulation group.

Once your child has learned the basics of self-regulation it is time to put them into practise. Through group games and activities, this program provides opportunities to practise skills such as sitting and listening, persistence, resilience, sharing, waiting, turn taking, personal space and calming strategies.

Program delivery varies between clinics so check with your local clinic about their programs.
