Early Start Australia | NT | Fannie Bay (formerly OT for Kids NT) has been delivering therapy services to support children and young adults from Darwin, Palmerston and rural areas since 2010.

We provide Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Pathology services to children and adolescents, from birth-age to 13 years.

Our services are delivered in our clinic, via Telehealth and offer mobile services in the home, school, community setting and remote visits.

The use of alternative augmentative communication (AAC) strategies can support people with communication difficulties.

Practice Principal

Mercedes completed her BAppSc (Occupational Therapy) in 2012 in Colombia and moved to Australia the same year. Having lived in Sydney and Melbourne, Mercedes moved to Darwin chasing the sun and the lifestyle with her young family. Mercedes has specialist training and experience in Ayres Sensory Processing Assessment and Intervention, Feeding and Mealtime Management, Interoception, Motor Planning and Praxis, DIR floortime, and Trauma Informed Care. Mercedes values the importance of kindness, respect, neurodiversity affirming practice and positive team culture.
