Advances in early detection of autism spectrum disorder

It is important that the language and terminology used to describe autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities is up to date and appropriate as to not stigmatise and disempower individuals within autistic and neurodivergent community.

The UC Davis MIND Institute is advocating for a shift away from outdated terminology in an attempt to lessen negative and harmful impacts it causes.
