Early Start Australia | Qld | Upper Mt Gravatt (formerly Boost Therapy) has been providing Occupational and Speech and language Pathology services in the Brisbane area since 2012.

We provide therapy services to children and young adults (1 year to 18 years). Our services are delivered in our clinic, via Telehealth and offer mobile services at childcare, pre-school, school or at a home setting.

One of our therapists uses a therapy dog. Mochi is at the clinic on a Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have concerns about there being a trained therapy animal onsite, please contact our Practice Principal.

Please note, Upper Mt Gravatt clinic is located in an upstairs location without lift access. If you will find it difficult to access this clinic, telehealth or home-based services may be an option.

As part of your therapy journey your therapist we may recommend some specific therapy programs to assist in achieving your goals including:

Help fussy eaters and children with feeding problems enjoy a balanced, healthy diet and a positive attitude towards food.

We run small social skills groups for children experiencing difficulties fitting in at school or with their peers.

A personalised program is developed to help guide and support your child to develop the skills to use the toilet independently

Therapy support services for schools including screening programs, therapy support and education to help children reach their full potential.

Support your child prior to commencing school or during school transitions to develop the skills they need to be confident and independent at school.

Christine Upper Mt Gravatt

Christine Boers

Practice Principal

Christine is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, gaining her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from The University of Queensland in 2008.

She has worked with children across multiple settings including community-based services in rural areas, tertiary hospital settings and across government and private practice settings in Brisbane.

Christine has always been passionate about working with children and their families and has developed a special interest in working with children with Autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays.

She has specialist training and experience in DIR Floortime, Feeding and Mealtime Management, Toileting, Handwriting assessment and intervention and Symbolic and Imaginary Play.

Christine chases after her own two young children when she’s not working and also enjoys playing ultimate frisbee.

Christine joined Early Start Australia in 2018.
