Early Start Australia Coomera provides occupational therapy and speech and language pathology services to children and adolescents (birth to 18 years)

Our Coomera clinic has been servicing the Northern Gold Coast region since 2019.

We deliver our services in our therapy centre, or mobile service where we will visit in the home, childcare or school setting.

Our therapists are also trained and equipped to provide services via telehealth.

Our Coomera team are committed to helping develop children and adolescent’s life skills to enable them to participate in daily activities to the best of their ability and achieve their goals.

Programs

As part of your therapy journey your therapist we may recommend some specific therapy programs to assist in achieving your goals including:

Camp Jimbelung is a therapeutic day camp for children aged between five and 12 years providing children with a typical camp experience with additional specialised support to develop skills in areas of challenge.

In Pilates we can work on our core strength to ensure our trunk is nice and strong. This helps support our posture, our global movement, and our gross motor skills.

Children who find themselves getting tired and slumping in their seats at school often have poor core endurance which can be improved with fun Pilates exercises like planks and bridges. We also work on nervous system regulation with breathing exercises.

When working with children we use a family-centered model, supporting caregivers and children to develop skills, knowledge and understanding as we all work together.

Our early intervention program is guided by the Early Start Denver Model.

Run during the school holidays these programs and camps are a great way to boost your child’s therapy participation and meet others.
